EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Objective: To fulfil Tesco’s labour requirements in three distinct national regions, including across two sites in the Midlands. We were appointed at Hinckley DC in May 2007, initially with a headcount of 50 colleagues. After consistently outperforming local competitors we were rewarded with sole supply status, which we successfully retained for 7 years.

  • We transferred 125 colleagues under TUPE in 2009 – retained site until January 2016
  • Average pool size of 231 colleagues

Work commenced at Milton Keynes in November 2013 following a request from the site who were receiving an inadequate service from their incumbent supplier. We have remained as one of only two suppliers for this site on a 50 / 50 split.

THE CLIENT

Tesco PLC is a multinational grocery and general merchandise retailer. It is the third largest retailer in the world measured by profits and fifth-largest retailer in the world measured by revenues. It has stores in 8 countries across Asia and Europe and is the grocery market leader in the UK with a market share of 28.4%.
